5 STEPS TO A PERFECT POOL

Before taking any action on your pool, it's important to have the water analysed to find out the values found for alkalinity, pH, phosphate levels and other factors.

1. Adjust the alkalinity

Adjust it to 100ppm and you'll see how the pH doesn't fluctuate, consuming less disinfectant.

2. Adjust the pH

Adjusting the pH to 7.2 makes the chlorine disinfect more effectively. The higher the pH, the lower the disinfection capacity, the higher the consumption of disinfectants and the more problems you will have with algae and bacteria.

3. Removing phosphates

Phosphates are the food of algae and are essential for their photosynthesis and development. That's why we recommend analysing their concentration at the start of the season using the phosphate kit and, if their presence is detected, carrying out a treatment with one of our phosphate removers. Pool maintenance will be much simpler and more economical.

5. Maintenance

Analyse the water every week.

The most important parameters can be analysed quickly and easily with the FTK range of strips and the appropriate treatment applied in each case. FTK STRIPS are ideal for quick and simple analyses.

Adjust the maintenance disinfectant (chlorine or bromine)

We recommend setting between 1 and 2 ppm for chlorine and between 3 and 5 ppm for bromine. If you have a salt electrolysis system, the recommended level is the same as for solid chlorine, between 1 and 2 ppm.

Clarifiers

Coagulants are more efficient and retain more particles (pollen, mud, suntan lotion, etc.) than flocculants. Without clogging the filter or depositing anything at the bottom.

Algaecides

Algaecides act as a defence and prevention to minimise the growth of algae and bacteria. Especially when the disinfectant is below the required values.

⚠️ DON'T USE ALGAECIDES WITH FREE COPPER. They stain swimsuits, dye hair green and cause stains in the pool.
