When to use it?
ACF-50 is designed with the professional aerospace technician in mind. ACF-50 should be used within the guidelines established by standards for corrosion prevention, control, or repair.
On new metal, ACF-50 forms a self-curing barrier that prevents corrosion from starting. ACF-50 remains physically and chemically effective for up to two years.
Why use ACF-50?
ACF-50 (Anti Corrosion Formula) was developed to protect aircraft and their electrical systems from corrosion. Aerospace products meet the highest performance standards and for over 30 years, ACF-50 has continued to meet, or exceed, those requirements.
Motorbikes and aeroplanes share similar materials of construction, so it makes sense to use aerospace grade protection on all metal components and electrical systems. Commercial aircraft and motorbikes can be exposed to very corrosive environments such as rain, salt air/water when we are in coastal areas, on thawing roads, or simply the fact that we have chrome and fur that we want to keep new for the life of the bike...all can cause damaging corrosion.
By using ACF50 as part of your regular preventative maintenance programme, you will keep your bike in the best possible condition!
How does it work?
ACF-50 chemically treats metal using advanced polar bonding technology. It forms a water-repellent film on the media that removes moisture from the metal surface. ACF-50 is waterless and approved for electrical switches and connectors. It will create a water resistant film on all parts. ACF-50 has a strong capillary action so it will glide on all areas where moisture does too. It actively pushes out moisture, replacing it with protection.
