The I-Core is Hunter's controller for the most demanding commercial and residential applications. Including innovative features like flow monitoring, quick overall system access, a factory-installed SmartPort®, six language capability and a large display, the I-Core should be considered a great choice for the most demanding irrigation projects. One of the most important reasons the I-Core is so exceptional is its sheer versatility. The plastic cabinet version is expandable from 6 to 30 stations and the metal cabinet model can accommodate up to 42 stations. Adding a two-wire DUAL® module can expand the station capacity to 48. Stainless steel and pedestal models are also available, thus providing a wide range of housing options. With other additional options like a remote ROAM or ICR or Solar Sync® focused on water savings, the possibilities of using I-Core are limitless.

I-CORE DUAL 48M Module
This module allows you to transform I-CORE into a mixed programmer: traditional connections together with connections through DUAL decoders.
The DUAL system extends the capacity of the I-CORE up to 48 sectors.
Decoder systems save cable: a system that uses a 2-wire cable, versus the conventional one that requires the use of 50 wires.
• It also saves labor associated with the large number of individual cable runs.

REAL TIME FLOW MONITORING

This feature allows you to connect a flow meter to recognize high or low flow conditions and automatically react to alarms. The controller records typical flow rates for each station and then monitors performance during irrigation. When incorrect flow rates are detected, the controller can identify the faulty zone and shut it down. Alarm parameters can be programmed by the user. Flow rate totals are logged in the controller's memory to verify total water usage by the system.


EASY RETRIEVE™ MEMORY

A feature that stores all watering schedule information and controller setup information in backup memory. This allows the watering schedule to be restored at any time. This feature is very useful when restoring a controller to its initial settings because of some undue tampering or at the beginning of the irrigation season.


ONE TOUCH MANUAL START AND ADVANCE

Allows the user to manually start/test any station by pressing and holding the right arrow button and then adding a run time to the appropriate station.


PROGRAMMABLE WATERING DELAY

The programmable watering delay feature incorporates a user-specified number of days to keep the controller in the OFF mode, then allows the system to automatically revert to scheduled irrigation. This will prevent watering for an extended period of time due to heavy rainfall, but will automatically resume watering without having to reprogram the controller. The controller displays the number of days remaining before irrigation will resume.


QUICK CHECK

The Quick Check feature provides quick diagnosis of field problems in an easy to access manner with the push of a button. Quick Check displays an ERR (Error) message when a field short is detected on a specific station number.


NON-VOLATILE MEMORY

This feature provides protection against unreliable power by recording the current time and date and programming data.


AUTOMATIC SHORT CIRCUIT PROTECTION

Automatic short circuit protection is a feature found on all Hunter AC powered controllers. It automatically detects electrical faults, which are usually caused by wiring problems. The stations where short circuits are detected are skipped, allowing irrigation to continue on the stations where no faults were detected. There are no fuses to blow or circuit breakers to trip that could result in complete shutdown of irrigation.


SEASONAL ADJUST: I-CORE

This feature allows quick adjustment of irrigation run times using a percentage scale. During peak season, set the seasonal adjustment to 100%. If weather conditions require less water, enter the appropriate percentage value (i.e. 50%) to reduce irrigation run times without having to adjust each station in the program. I-Core offers three different ways to use Seasonal Adjustment to reduce water usage:


Global: Provides one seasonal adjustment value for all selected programs.


Monthly: Allows users to program one seasonal adjustment value for each month of the year. Only available on the I-Core, and operates by automatically changing the programmed seasonal adjustment value on the first of each month.


Solar Sync: When connected to I-Core, the ET Solar Sync sensor implements an automatic daily adjustment based on local weather conditions evaluated.


STATION TO STATION DELAY FOR I-CORE AND ACC

A delay in irrigation between individual stations as the controller moves from one station to the next. The delay can be programmed from a few seconds, to allow for the closing of slow closing valves, or longer times to allow for the refilling of water reservoirs, etc. In ACC and I-CORE the delay between stations can be programmed by an individual program.


SENSOR PROGRAMMING FOR I-CORE

The Sensor Programming Capability feature allows the user to specify which stations to turn off in response to a sensor alarm, thus allowing stations and programs to run uninterrupted if a sensor alarm occurs.


CALCULATION OF THE TOTAL RUN TIME

This function adds up all run times and calculates the total duration of a program. This information can be used to determine the time of day when irrigation will end.


CYCLE & DRY FUNCTION

Water-saving feature that allows the operator to specify a maximum run time for each zone followed by a minimum soak time to prevent soil erosion on slopes or saturated soils. The operator can enter any run time and the controller will automatically split it into cycles to allow water to be fully absorbed during watering periods. The feature can be adjusted for each zone or by group, according to specific soil and site conditions.


NO-IRRIGATION PERIODS

User specified periods of time during which the controller will not allow automatic irrigation. The No Water Window feature can be used to comply with local watering restrictions or to avoid conflicts with foot traffic. This setting does not affect manual watering options for local maintenance.


NO WATER DAYS

Day(s) of the week can be pre-programmed not to irrigate, so irrigation will not run regardless of the original schedule. For example, if the gardener mows the lawn on Saturdays, the no water day(s) feature allows Saturdays to be programmed for irrigation to not run.


SOLAR SYNC DELAY

The Solar Sync Delay allows the installer to specify a number of days before automatic climate adjustment of the Solar Sync sensor begins, as well as an overall percentage to be used during the delay period. This allows a period of unadjusted irrigation for plant growth or establishment purposes without requiring a return site visit to program the Solar Sync's water saving feature.
