I-CORE DUAL 48M module
This module transforms the I-CORE into a mixed controller: traditional connections together with connections via DUAL decoders.
The DUAL system extends the capacity of the I-CORE to 48 sectors.
Decoder systems save cable: a system that uses a 2-wire cable, as opposed to the conventional 50-wire system.
- It also saves work associated with the large number of individual cable runs.
I-CORE decoders
Enables two-way communication.
With overvoltage protection and ground wire.
Advantages: 1, 2 or 4-way decoders available.
- Cables - Decoder for solenoid: pair of 1 mm2 cables, twisted to improve resistance to current surges.
- Includes: resin connectors for all connections.
Specific characteristics: Maximum distance to the decoder, cable route of
2 mm2 cable path: 3,000 m.
- Maximum distance to decoder, 3.3 mm2 cable route: 4,500 m.
- Maximum recommended distance from decoder to solenoid: 45 m.
REAL-TIME FLOW MONITORING
This feature allows you to connect a flow meter to recognize high or low flow conditions and automatically react to alarms. The controller records the typical flow rates for each irrigation sector and then monitors performance during irrigation. When incorrect flow rates are detected, the controller can identify the failed sector and shut it down. The alarm parameters can be programmed by the user. Flow totals are recorded in the controller's memory to verify the system's total water use.
EASY RETRIEVE™ MEMORY
A function that stores all watering schedule information and controller configuration information in the backup memory. This allows the watering schedule to be restored at any time. This function is very useful when restoring a controller to its initial settings due to tampering or at the start of the watering season.
ONE-TOUCH MANUAL START AND ADVANCE
Allows the user to manually start/test any station by pressing and holding the right arrow button, then adding a run time to the appropriate station.
PROGRAMMABLE WATERING DELAY
The programmable watering delay function incorporates a user-specified number of days to keep the controller in OFF mode, then allows the system to automatically revert to scheduled irrigation. This will prevent watering for a long period of time due to heavy rain, but will automatically resume watering without the need to re-program the controller. The controller displays the number of days remaining before watering is resumed.
QUICK CHECK
The Quick Check function quickly diagnoses problems in the field in an easily accessible way at the touch of a button. Quick Check displays an ERR (Error) message when a short circuit is detected in the field at a specific station number.
NON-VOLATILE MEMORY
This feature offers protection against unreliable power supply, recording the current time and date and programming data.
AUTOMATIC SHORT-CIRCUIT PROTECTION
Automatic short-circuit protection is a function found in all Hunter AC-powered controllers. This function automatically detects electrical faults, which are usually caused by cable problems. Stations where short circuits are detected are ignored, allowing irrigation to continue at stations where no faults have been detected. There are no fuses to blow or circuit breakers to trip, which could result in a complete shutdown of irrigation.
SEASONAL ADJUSTMENT: I-CORE
This feature allows you to quickly adjust irrigation run times using a percentage scale. During the high season, set the seasonal adjustment to 100%. If the weather conditions require less water, enter the appropriate percentage value (i.e. 50%) to reduce irrigation run times without having to adjust each of the seasons in the program. I-Core offers three different ways of using Seasonal Regulation to reduce water use:
Global: Provides one seasonal regulation value for all selected programs.
Monthly: Allows users to program a seasonal regulation value for each month of the year. Only available on the I-Core, and works by automatically changing the programmed value of the seasonal setting on the first day of each month.
Solar Sync: When connected to the I-Core, the ET Solar Sync sensor implements an automatic daily adjustment based on the local weather conditions evaluated.
DELAY BETWEEN STATIONS FOR I-CORE AND ACC
A delay in irrigations between individual stations when the controller goes from one station to the next. The delay can be programmed from a few seconds, to allow slow-closing valves to close, or longer times to allow water reservoirs to recharge, etc. In ACC and I-CORE, the delay between stations can be programmed by an individual program.
SENSOR PROGRAMMING FOR I-CORE
The Sensor Programming Capability function allows the user to specify which stations to turn off in response to a sensor alarm, thus allowing stations and programs to operate without interruption in the event of a sensor alarm.
TOTAL OPERATING TIME CALCULATION
This function adds up all the running times and calculates the total duration of a program. This information can be used to determine the time of day when watering will end.
CYCLE AND DRY FUNCTION
Water-saving feature that allows the operator to specify a maximum running time for each sector, followed by a minimum absorption time, to prevent soil erosion on slopes or saturated soils. The operator can enter any watering time and the controller will automatically divide it into cycles to allow the water to be completely absorbed during the watering periods. The function can be adjusted for each sector or by group, according to the specific soil and site conditions.
NON-IRRIGATION PERIODS
User-specified periods of time during which the controller will not allow automatic watering. The No Water Window function can be used to comply with local watering restrictions or to avoid conflicts with pedestrian traffic. This setting does not affect manual watering options for local maintenance.
DAYS WITHOUT WATERING
Day(s) of the week can be pre-programmed not to water, so that watering will not work regardless of the original programming. For example, if the gardener mows the lawn on Saturdays, the no watering day(s) function allows Saturdays to be programmed so that watering doesn't work.
SOLAR SYNC DELAY
Solar Sync Delay allows the installer to specify a number of days before the Solar Sync sensor's automatic climate adjustment begins, as well as an overall percentage to be used during the delay period. This allows a period of unadjusted irrigation for plant growth or establishment purposes, without requiring a return visit to the site to program the Solar Sync water-saving function.
MULTI-LANGUAGE PROGRAMMING
I-Core can be programmed in English, Spanish, French, Italian, German and Portuguese.
